Resumen

Objetivo: analizar cómo la implementación de prácticas de gestión sostenible en cadenas de suministro están vinculadas con la mejora del desempeño económico, ambiental y social en diversas industrias y países, con un enfoque específico en su aplicabilidad para la producción de café en Colombia. Método: el diseño metodológico de este estudio combinó técnicas de análisis bibliométrico, análisis léxico-semántico y análisis de argumentación en artículos indexados en la base de datos: Web of Science (WoS). La integración metodológica mostró un enfoque multidimensional para abordar la complejidad de la gestión sostenible de cadenas de suministro y sus implicaciones para la sostenibilidad y el desempeño global. Resultados: entre los principales hallazgos, se destacan las dimensiones de colaboración y coordinación en cadenas de suministro, así como la contextualización y adaptación a diferentes industrias y países. Se identificaron efectos positivos en el desempeño económico, la responsabilidad social y el compromiso con las partes interesadas, y la sostenibilidad ambiental, destacándose la reducción de impactos. Estos aspectos se erigen como los principales ejes explicativos fundamentales para comprender la contribución de las prácticas de gestión sostenible de cadenas de suministro al desempeño económico, ambiental y social. Discusión: el desarrollo del análisis se enfocó en los efectos derivados de la incorporación de prácticas sostenibles en la producción. Sin embargo, estas actividades implican a la articulación de estrategias entre los actores involucrados, los cual demanda la sincronización de objetivos y metas que varían tanto a nivel intra como intersectorial y entre países. Esto destaca la necesidad imperante de una mayor alineación en los objetivos económicos, ambientales y sociales. Conclusiones: los resultados destacaron cómo la gestión sostenible de cadenas de suministro es una estrategia esencial para promover la sostenibilidad en las operaciones comerciales y contribuir al desarrollo sostenible a nivel global. Al integrar las cinco categorías analíticas clave, las empresas pueden alcanzar un equilibrio entre el crecimiento económico, la sostenibilidad ambiental y social, y el compromiso con las partes interesadas.
