Evolución científica de la economía circular y la simbiosis industrial: un análisis bibliométrico (2015–2024)

Resumen
Objetivo: analizar bibliométricamente la evolución de la producción científica sobre economía circular, simbiosis industrial y sostenibilidad durante el período 2015–2024, para identificar tendencias temáticas y redes de colaboración científica.
Método: se desarrolló un análisis bibliométrico descriptivo y relacional con información recuperada de las bases de datos Scopus, Web of Science y Dimensions. Tras aplicar criterios de inclusión, exclusión y depuración de duplicados, se consolidó un corpus de 18.720 documentos. El análisis integró indicadores de productividad y citación, redes de coautoría, coocurrencia de términos, minería de texto y modelado temático LDA, procesados con Bibliometrix, VOSviewer y librerías de Python.
Resultados: se evidenció un incremento sostenido de publicaciones entre 2020 y 2024. China, Estados Unidos y Europa Occidental concentraron la mayor producción científica, con redes de colaboración predominantes entre instituciones asiáticas y europeas. Los términos más frecuentes correspondieron a economía circular, sostenibilidad, gestión de residuos y desarrollo sostenible. A partir de los hallazgos, se propuso el Modelo de Integración Sistémica para la Sostenibilidad Industrial (MISSI), que articula tres dimensiones interdependientes: gobernanza basada en datos, innovación tecnológica y equidad territorial, como marco interpretativo para los procesos de transición industrial sostenible.
Conclusiones: el estudio evidenció una transición desde enfoques centrados en el reciclaje y la eficiencia de recursos hacia perspectivas de gobernanza ambiental e innovación industrial, aportando elementos para futuras agendas de investigación y para la toma de decisiones académicas y organizacionales.
