Resumen

Objetivo: analizar el impacto de las cuatro dimensiones del apoyo de la gestión: liderazgo, supervisión, incentivos y compañeros de trabajo del Capital Intelectual (CI) en las Instituciones de Educación Superior (IES), con el proposito de establecer un entorno y garantías propicias para la gestión y consolidación de su inventario de conocimientos. Método: el modelo de investigación se testeó por medio de un cuestionario aplicado a grupos de investigación en Colombia. Se obtuvo 442 respuestas válidas y se utilizó para el analisis la modelación por ecuaciones estructurales. Resultados: los hallazgos indican que el liderazgo y la supervisión tienen un mayor impacto en el CI, aunque los incentivos y los compañeros de trabajo son notables, pero en menor medida. De acuerdo con estos resultados, se identifica una jerarquía de variables que afectan el CI destacando el liderazgo y la supervisión como las variables de apoyo a la gestión con mayor peso, en las cuales las universidades podrían focalizar mayores esfuerzos y atención. Conclusiones: este estudio aporta al cuerpo de conocimiento academico sobre los antecedentes e influenciadores de CI, presentando un enfoque novedoso al analizar esta variable en los grupos de investigación dentro de las instituciones de educación superior.
