Resumen
Objetivo: Evidenciar que el desarrollo del liderazgo organizacional, cuando se trabaja simultáneamente desde las personas (líderes) y desde la capacidad organizacional (capacidad de liderazgo), tiene impactos significativos en el desempeño organizacional (personales y empresariales). Esto es posible cuando se asume una perspectiva basada en valores. (objetivo general). Método: Se utilizó un enfoque cualitativo y como estrategia un estudio de caso a profundidad. Para la contrastación del modelo teórico se usó un estudio de caso en una empresa industrial colombiana. La elección del caso se justifica porque el objetivo no es lograr una generalización estadística, sino comprender de manera dinámica el fenómeno. Resultados: Los hallazgos enriquecen el modelo teórico propuesto y fortalecen la literatura sobre liderazgo basado en valores. Se identificaron en el caso estudiado tres dimensiones para los ejes centrales del modelo Lideres y Liderazgo: incorporación de valores, gestión para la transformación y contribución a resultados organizacionales. El modelo contrastado trasciende la tensión entre los modelos blandos o humanistas preocupados más por las personas su compromiso, participación y desarrollo y los modelos duros enfocadas en prácticas que respondan a la eficacia y rentabilidad del negocio. Conclusiones: En el caso estudiado se evidenció un liderazgo eficaz por su contribución estratégica, así como por su compromiso con el bienestar y la calidad de vida de sus colaboradores. Se ofrece un aporte original para el debate del liderazgo basado en valores y sus contribuciones al desarrollo de las personas y los resultados organizacionales.
