University-Business Linkage for the Promotion of Technological Development: A Systematic Review

Share:

Abstract

Objective:This study aims to analyze the key dynamics of the university-industry relationship towards technological development, in order to identify how these interactions can enhance innovation and competitiveness in various areas of knowledge. Methodology or method: a systematized literature review based on the PRISMA method was used, and studies were selected from the Scopus database, covering the period 2018-2023. A bibliometric analysis was performed with R Project and VOS Viewer to identify patterns and trends in University-Business collaboration. Results: The results show a significant growth in academic production, highlighting that 55 related studies were published in 2022, mainly in areas such as engineering, social sciences and natural sciences. From a total of 463 documents located, 44 relevant publications were selected for analysis. The study reveals that collaboration between universities, companies and the state is fundamental to foster technological innovation, with special emphasis on knowledge transfer and the creation of innovative products and services. These strategic alliances strengthen research and development ecosystems, contributing to improve competitiveness in global contexts. Conclusions: The research concludes that to maximize the benefits of these relationships it is necessary to improve synergies between academia and the productive sector, providing practical recommendations to optimize such collaborations and foster a favorable environment for technological and economic development.
