Appeals Policy
- If an author strongly believes that an inappropriate decision was taken about his or her own decision, Ciencia e Innovación en Salud allows for a single appeal.
- Appeals should be presented together with a detailed explanation of why the original decision was mistaken.
- First, we will address the original academic editor and determine if they are willing to change their opinion in light of such feedback. If they are not, a second academic editor (or, in some cases, an Academic Editors Committee) will be requested to make a decision. In some cases, this step may require re-reviewing of the article.
- The new decision is considered as the final decision.
- Authors should be aware that appeals usually take some time before they are solved.
