She is Assistant Editor of Recent Patents on Endocrine, Metabolic and Immune Drug Discovery Journal from Bentham Science and belongs to the Centro de Investigaciones Endocrino-Metabólicas "Dr. Félix Gómez" (CIEM), Venezuela. Dr Chacín received her medical education (graduate and post-graduate as Pediatrician) at the University of Zulia, Venezuela and, then her MSc degree in Alcalá de Henares University (Dermatology in primary care). During the last 10 years, she received formal trainning in clinical and basic research rose to Investigator level B recognition by The Minister of Science and Technology from Venezuela. Dr Chacin’s research interest is focused on childhood obesity, psicosocial determinants and risk factors in ponderal disturbances during the childhood, as well as data mining techniques and artificial intelligence in the interpretation of massive medical data.
